118 Another 67 Pontiac.

Picked this one up 4 months ago now...

Buddy said buy him a set of gauges for his 66 Olds 442, and rewire the car for him and I can have this.. Not sure who got the better end of the deal.. lol

Should have just kept my last one..... Would have been easier. lol

Starting from the front and working my way back..
Not going for perfect or restored, just want it drivable..

Cleaned up the frame a bit, and added QA1 coil overs, disk brakes, and tubular control arms and Moog ball joints.

Also picked up some different fenders and a radiator support.

Man, good eye!
They were off my 383 when I swapped on some 440 Source aluminum heads.
Been holding on to them for ever now.

Slow progress on this one. I have been spending time and $ on the Pinto, and now the van, BUT....
Far from done, but I think I have everything needed to make it drivable (other than time to install it all, lol)
I might have to put in the floor pans before installing seats.

Judging from the grass I can see through the passenger floorboard, I'd agree - putting the floor boards in before the seats go in would be a good move.

Ok, both front floors are in. Last weekend I replaced the area between the rear window and trunk lid.

License and Theft came and looked over the car. After that I was able to get plates!
She is running, driving and legal.
Ran to Charlotte to grab some parts from National Parts Depot.
Threw on the hood, and rested a 1/4 in place.

Also got the new 1/4s tacked in place.

and the new tail panel in.

They don't make a LeMans tail panel so I had to use a GTO.
They don't make GTO tail light buckets, and the ones on EBay are 650-800..
so I bought some LEDs off Amazon.
Mounted them to some din rail and mounted them directly to the lens.
Worked great!

So, License and theft said that this car was inspected by them back in 2014, it was not operational back then.
13 months in, and it is now a running and driving car.
First trip around the block. She felt good!
