Just a heads up to everyone that we are expirementing with not using the "attachments" method of uploading pictures. More or less, its a way to prevent someone who has alot of pictures to share from having to make 10 posts to show 20 pictures. If you use your photo gallery, you can upload the pictures and post up to 10 pictures in ONE reply.

Uploading pictures to your gallery is as simple as attaching them to your posts. The only difference is just posting a link or actually posting the picture itself in your reply. Also another benefit to using the gallery is that you can post the same pictures on other boards across the internet, whereas attachments can only be seen by registered users.

If anyone has any questions or needs help with the gallery, feel free to post up in this thread. For those who dont know, there is a link to the gallery in your navigation bar.......or click below.

I figured out how to post thumbnail sized pics, but how do I post larger pics?

I'd like to use this in my signature:

Look...I'll break it down for you guys....since I was as clueless as you when I started this site.

Go to the blue bar at top----------click Gallery.
Once your are in the gallery area go to the white bar-----> click register (thats right register again for the damn gallery)
Once you are registered go back to white bar------> click login (enter gallery username and password)
Once you are "logged in", look at the white bar again.-------> click "upload photos"
Now your in the "HPJunkies.com Photo Gallery Image Upload" area-----> click "browse" to find your pic on your hard drive----> then "upload"
Then click "process file". Once this is done go back to white bar and click "my gallery"............the pic should be there.
Click on your pic from your "gallery". Once the pic is enlarged---> highlight copy and paste directly to your message reply.

NOTE: I usually have two HP junkies windows open. One with my gallary opened and one with the message thread. I don't know if this is the best way but it works for my dumb ass.

If it is done correctly you will have "HPJunkies" on the corner of the pic.

unless this is your first forum evar, and computers are new to you. Although, being older than me, I would assume you know and understand DOS, COBOL, and C.

JK, but play with it for a little while, and read what does what. Rocket science it ain't.
And before D chimes in, I did not have the software to correctly resize my pic at the time.....

OK, I 'll make this easier for you. After you have picutres in your gallery.....click on one that you want to use, now right click on it and then pick "properties". Now highlight the location address and copy it. After you have done that, if you are either posting a new thread or replying to a thread....click on the little mountain picture on the top and then paste the location there. That should get er done.

OK.....click the pic to open it large (now it's large right?)------->Click the mouse button hold down and drag the mouse over the pic (it should have like a green hue to it)---------> now click the mouse button on the right/right click (you should see a drop down list... ..........) CLICK ON COPY.

Now go to the message thread and put your pointer were you write in your replys------------------> Right click again and depress PASTE.

The large pic you just copied should paste directly onto the message reply.

I use mohov image resizer. Do a search, you could prolly find it on download.com or something.
