Looking for a technician

We're looking to hire another tech in the upcoming weeks to prepare for the upcoming spring rush. We made it through the winter with zero down time and right now we are busier than I can remember.

Preferably I would like to have someone with extensive wiring and diagnosis experience. Someone who wouldn't have a problem building an engine harness or handling a 24x system install on an LT engine for example.

Other duties would obviously include bolt on installs, clutch installs, engine swaps, etc. Basically everything you would expect to take place in a speed shop.

Pay will be based on experience. Applicant must have their own tools. GM experience is a huge plus, however we are slowly starting to work on a few Fords as well so experience with the modular engines/late model Ford vehicles is also a plus.

40 hours per week Mon-Fri 8am till 5pm. Some overtime will be required as well as attending some weekend events/races. One weeks paid vacation will be provided per year after the first year.

We're a small 7 person operation and we love what we do. You can email your resume to jonathan@tick-performance.com, mail it to 179 Thunder Rd. Mount Airy, NC 27030, or of course drop it off in person.

Thanks!

We're still looking for this technician. Since posting this thread our staff has grown to 10, but we're still in need of a tech that is comfortable with big wiring jobs like modifying engine harness's for LS swaps and such.

I'm tuning so many cars now that I just don't have time to tackle all the wiring work like I once did. Not all jobs will be wiring related, but we need a go-to technician when needed.

This position could pay up to $20/hr for the right person with the right experience. Most technicians get 46 hrs per week, so factoring that in the pay is pretty good.

Right now our schedule is backed into November, and we're turning jobs away all the time due to the backlog of work. The winter can be slow at times, but job security is pretty good.
