By "better" you must mean different gear ratio? There is no difference in strength between the two...

You are right. I'm still learning about the differences. I've decided to go with a th400 .Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I am confused, did you decide TH400, or 4-speed?
I would throw a wrench in the plans and vote something with an overdrive so you can comfortably use it on the highway without being passed by a Prius at speed, lol. Killer numbers on the engine! |

Still getting parts together . My Aeromotive Stealth 2 fuel tank with a 340gph pump finally came in. Decided to cut some debt down so the money I was saving for the TH400 is going towards that. Sooo back to the 4 speed I have. Just gonna get a cheap clutch to drive around with. Doubt that car would be ready by that time anyways.

I didn't think there was much difference between the M20 and the M21.
I thought it was just the ratios in the transmission? |

M20 wide ratio & M21 short ratio both have TH350 output shaft size

Not much has changed in a year. I have an new SST series FTI torque converter, all my Aeromotive fittings for the fuel system. Thinking of going Fragola hoses and hose ends. Picked up some Race Stars for the back. Still just pecking away at getting parts. I hate to drop the motor in and it sit in the car as the car is outside and everything start oxidizing. I hope to have a new building up in a few months to get the car out of the weather.

Picked up some new matching front Racestars. Motor is still on the stand. Coworkers talked me into putting the 4 speed in for a little while so I picked up a Mcleod Street Extreme clutch. Working on getting a new building built to get the Chevelle out of the weather.

Back in April, I finally got my shop done. 30x30x10. Today I finally got my car put in there. Hope to get interested back in it soon. My middle boy has been ready for a while to work on it.
