Went by to drop something off at Phillips and got a birthday surprise. He had the hood finish fit and dzus in. So now the front end is officially one piece, just needs some rivets and it will be finished up. He's starting on the column tonight and tomorrow after we get the kirkey mounted we'lol install the quick release hub.

Got alittle more done today. We have the brake pedal back in, the column is mounted and the rag joint is finished, put a new passenger side door handle in I ripped off, got the kirkey mounted, got the shifter installed, and Removed the wing. I've been kinda torn about it, whether I like it or not. I wanted to modify it so it didn't sit so high but by the time I buy more supplies to change it and finish what was left plus my time in it I can just buy another one. So I think I'm ordering a strutless team Z wing on Monday. Now we're gonna make a list of what needs to be finished and start wrapping it up next week so it can make the move to my work to drop in the motor and trans. It's starting to look like a car again.

I didn't make it by Phillips to work tonight but I got some picture updates from him. He started filling the holes in the fire wall, he finished the heater box holes and a couple smaller holes on the drivers side.

Not much accomplished tonight. I put in the correct bolts for the shocks, tossed the pinion Snubber, the big vibration damper off the diff, Phillip got some plates welded that tie the down bars into the strut towers which really stiffened the front up, and one side of the drivers side frame got boxed in from being cut to mini tub it. The anti roll should be here tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some install pics of the anti roll and tube braces. Also shooting for fitting he dash in tomorrow. I also threw the headlights in real quick and set it on the wheels to get a look at it. It's starting to look like a car again. Here's a couple pics.

Got the new ARB from UPR today. We got it in and finished along with the dash, drilled out all the nut certs from the old wing so we can start welding up the holes, added some more bars to the front to reinforce the radiator support. My radiator is at Johnny Gibbons shop getting some AN fitting welded on and getting a radiator support made. I haven't had a chance to meet him yet but he's been a lot of help with advice and parts on all this we've been doing at Phillips. Here's some progress pics from tonight.

Tonight I got the pleasure of removing 18 nut certs from the hatch that held the old wing in place and also knocked the paint down around all the factory wing holes so it can be welded up. I also cut the lips out of the rear wheel wells to clearance for the Tires. Hopefully we'll get the radiator and support installed tomorrow. I'll post pics when I get them.

Got the radiator and support back yesterday. Phillip got it welded in to the lower radiator support bar. The whole radiator and support is removable with a pull pin then you just lost it up. I threw the rear rotors on to see where the final rating place of the 275/60's was going to be after cutting the lips out of the wheel well it's close but I think we're good.

Getting close to being done at Phillips. The back floor is almost done, just have to paint and rivet it in to the angle brackets he made. The rear end is out to weld on the tube braces and weld up everything fully and give it all a coat of paint. The windshield is pulled to do the blackout and paint the cage, the wing finally showed up, picked up my water outlet from gibbons race cars, and we started to make an aluminum cover to go hinge to hinge on the firewall. I also ordered some tinted hatch lexan from Blake at Holcomb this afternoon. Should have a complete roller before too long.

Got the panel to cover the hood hinges and other random holes done tonight and riveted in along with everything finish welded on the rear end with some paint. We shaved the drivers wiper hole tonight also. The rear piece of floor is complete and we started building the bulkhead tonight. Also instead of welding the 20 something holes in the hatch Ron is hooking me up with an extra he has laying around. Here's a couple pics from tonight.

Last night we made some more progress. The floor is riveted in, Phillip built the bulkhead, and I started on the master cylinder. We also threw the new to me hatch on it with the fancy gas door. All that's left on the list (if nothing gets added) is put the rear end back in, install lexan front and rear, paint everything, weld the harness tabs, and finish boxing up the frame. Here's a couple pics from last night of the bulkhead.

We were at it till 1am. The harness tabs are welded, frame plates are finished, sanded every square inch of the inside of the car, threw some paint on the inside quarters/floor area, blacked out the edgers of the front lexan, and hit the bars with there first coat. Next step is the team z wing and out the lexan in and it's heading home.

Took a rest for the weekend. Got back on it tonight and installed my Team Z wing and the blackout lexan front windshield is siliconed and screwed in. There weren't any instructions on how to measure for a hatch car so after winging it the two middle brackets ended up a hair high. We're going to drop them down later. Got just a few more things to finish and hopefully get it home this week.

Thanks. It's wearing me out. We've put a lot of time in it lately.

Got the hatch lexan drilled and fit, taped, and blacked out. He says we're finishing his work Friday. Here's a couple pics from the lexan install.

Tonight was a good night. Finished the cowl panel, mounted the catch can bracket and can, mounted the rear lexan, and tomorrow he'll finish up the rear floor piece and it'll be ready to come home.

Thanks. Definitely going to paint it. Just maybe not this year. Until I get it running and going straight I'm gonna keep it partridge family style. Dad liked red cars so I want to do red, but I would rather have black so I'm thinking of doing two tone.

Thanks, I'm gonna try. Once it leaves my buddy's house progress will slow down. I've got a baby coming March 3 so I've got to get as much done before then as possible, it'll be a hot minute before it gets worked on after he gets here.

Ran by tonight to discuss what night the cars coming home. We ended up welding on tabs for front end limiters, and I started on some work inside the fuel door. I'm using Anderson plugs for my charger in between runs so I made an aluminum panel for the vehicle side plug and I'm going to mount a 2 5/8" volt gauge above the plug. Just started tinkering with it tonight I'll end up finishing it at home. Phillip and Dilbert are going to work on the last piece of rear floor and riveting all the dzus fasteners on the hood. This weekend the two of them also dropped the brackets on the wing to make it for tighter to the hatch. Here's a couple pictures.
