Shout out to Mayhem
I, too, would like to say thanks to Mayhem for the job they did with my 96 Caprice LT1. I run the car in G/PS in IHRA and it weighs 4350. On the last outing with the old engine that came in the car, it ran 8.90s and 9.0s. On the first outing with the new bullet, it went 8.30s and 40s. Sixty foot times are now in the 1.71 - .74 range. It has already been back for some computer tweaking, and I am looking forward to some additional testing.
They really put a smile on my face... ![]() |

It's a warmed up LT1 with iron heads and a small cam. It has a little bit of an idle, but not much. Still very streetable. It already had tri-y headers, a UCC torque converter, approx 3500 stall, and 4.10 gears. Running on MT ET Street radial 255/60-15 tires. It is quite a torquer...

Thanks for the kind words, Bob.
We're glad that you're enjoying the new engine. I'm excited to hear back results regarding the tweaks that we made. I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results. - Will |
