Good looking ride! Did this car come from the Kernersville/Winston-Salem area? I remember seeing one with saleens on there not too long ago.

Well I decided I needed to upgrade my clutch cable kit.
So I put a new adjustable cable, Steeda quadrant, and Steeda firewall adjuster on it today. Unfortunately it didn't make any noticeable difference in my super stiff clutch, but at least it's an upgrade! Haha. Oh and I recently installed carbon fiber rear COBRA outline overlays into the rear bumper. I like them because they are subtle. ![]() ![]() |

I would keep an extra cable handy with that steeda unit. I've broken two adjustable cables in mine. Swapped back to the stock cable 2 years ago and no trouble since. Just my experience with adjustable cables maybe?

Got some more mods completed tonight.
1st up is the METCO tensioner arm support bracket. I also decided to get a new tensioner and pulley setup at the same time and replace the 2003 original and well used item! Installation was pretty straight forward. This support arm will prevent the tensioner from flexing under load and help prolong the life of the belt. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Next up was the stainless coolant crossover plug that I purchased to replace the rusted and ragged factory one!
I had to use vice-grips to remove the old plug as the center square (1/4 drive) was rounded out. The new one installed quickly and easily and makes it much easier to remove in the future with the 19mm hex head. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

that support bracket is beefy looking and a nice dress-up. The stainless plug looks way better too.

Thanks Steve. After all my years of crazy project cars, this one is a little more subdued. But it's a blast to drive and typically my Saturday drive-to-work car. LOL. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I had to remove my T56 to diagnose a broken release bearing retainer sleeve!!! Time for a heavy duty upgrade and might as well do the 26 spline stuff at the same time! HAHA Also figured out I had a RAM clutch installed by the previous owner. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A few project updates.
I took the T56 to Bobby Brinkley to go thru it and make sure it's ready for what I have in store next. LOL. Fastlane ordered my McLeod RST twin disc clutch kit, Ford pilot bushing and throwout bearing, and SPEC aluminum flywheel. Melvin also helped me with a new rear seal installation. I started the installation of the flywheel and clutch last night. Got it all buttoned up with new ARP fasteners for the flywheel. That RST clutch is badass! Super quality. I cannot wait to drive it! So now the wait is on getting the T56 back and installed, then I move into the engine bay for next stage of mods. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by TTSALEEN; 04-03-2016 at 07:28 PM.. |

I also installed the head-cooling mod that allows water to flow from the back of the driver side head over to the passenger side to allow recirculation.
Fastlane got me the MMR kit and it is nice! My only complaint was MMR didn't include enough hose clamps, but that was easy to remedy at my local Auto zone. LOL. ![]() ![]() |
