//cliffs notes at the bottom

We have grown alot in the time since HPJ has existed, and things have run pretty damn good. We try not to be too strict around here, which seems to help things flow so smoothly. With the amount of people joining everyday, we are finding little things one by one we need to address. We are going to impliment one thing we need to fix now..........and instead of making a "rule", its going to be considered more of a guideline.

We have noticed alot of people have some rather LARGE pictures in their signatures. Of course this is an inconvience to every.....to have to scroll past your portrait.......but there are some people who still sport dialup, that have to load that picture with each page you posted on. So we will post this up and let it simmer for a few days............let everyone see it. If you are one of these said people, be warned that we will remove the picture for you. If the picture you have is obnoxiously too big, it might get replaced with a picture of our choice. Just a fair warning.

Some 'guidelines' for sizes:

-Try to keep your picture no wider than 450-500 pixels wide, and no taller than 150 pixels.

-Also please keep the file size down. A pic that small can still carry a large file size, and it doesnt need to be the best quality. Try to refrain from larger animated GIF's. I would think 200-250k is PLENTY large for a sig picture file size.

If anyone has questions or comments, feel free to ask..... we will leave this thread open for now.

//cliffs- remove the big pic from your signature, or we will take it out for you........its getting a little out of hand. If you choose to not remove it, we will remove it for you, and might put an embarrassing pic in its place - thank you drive through
