88 RX7 Turbo II, LS1/T56

Please don't post useless crap in this thread.

I'm just kinda tentatively listing the car because I am debating buying a 996 Turbo when I get back from Afghanistan next year. Just kinda seeing if there is any interest. The only major differences between now and then are an RPM Stage V Trans, RPS Twin Lite Clutch, and the subframe for the 03/04 Cobra Diff, plus a lot of stupid little stuff.

On the old motor (same set up as now except heads), the car went 11.2@124 on the motor only and 10.85@136 (138mph best trap) on a 150 shot (very traction limited, obviously). It never saw the track on a big shot.

What is wrong with the car? If you've never driven a big cam car, it would take a little bit of getting used to. It does have some cam surge below 1800rpm or so, but it is easy to drive around it. The rear differential mount is welded solid, so that does transmit some noise into the chassis. Body has minor dents and scratches like anycar that is old enough to drink will have. Drivers seat bolster is pretty torn up, but aside from that overall interior/exerior condition isn't too bad. A claybar/waxing would do wonders for the car. There is a toggle switch that has to be flipped to start the car. It just needs to be run to a good switched ignition wire, i've been to lazy to do it. Also, the HIDs are included, but not installed right now.

Info on the car:

2002 LS1... ~30k on the motor
RPM Stage V built T56 ~5k on the tranny
..7/8" Clutch master cylinder
..RPS Twin Lite Clutch installed with trans.
Custom modified rear subframe built to accept an 03/04 rear diff is included, but not installed. To just need a diff and custom axles to complete the swap. (just the subframe, diff not included)

LS6 intake mani
short 4" intake
160 degree T-Stat

Here's the Corner Weight of the car with half a tank of gas and some misc shit in the car

LF 742 707 RF
LR 701 724 RR
Total 2876
Cross 1410 49.0%

Left 1444 50.1%

Asking $16k or 13k with a stock T56 and a spec 3+ with a slightly used pressure plate and brand new disc. I'm open to trades/partial trades, must be a manual sports car.

New Clutch

Pic of what the subframe is with a diff. The diff is NOT included, only the subframe, this is just a pic from the guy that makes the subframes.

New Radio

Used the trailer to pull my bike and some furniture to Fort Bragg. Hitch simply unbolts.

Good luck with it. If I had the money laying around i'd snatch it up.

I saw this car at the intersection of Longstreet and All American back in the winter, figured it was just a SBC swap. Damn good sounding car man.

There's a vid under the price, thanks for the compliments. I can not take credit for the video or driving in it though. My best friend and I built the car and he made the videos. He built an LS1 FD and I told him if he sold this to anyone else I would kill him.

I'm open to trades for a fun daily + cash. E30/36 3 series, clean EG, integra, gti, etc, something that gets decent good gas mileage or is sporty enough to make up for avg gas mileage. Trade value will not exceed 5k though. So whatever you have plus 11k.

Man I am a mustang guy, and that thing is one of the coolest modded cars I have ever seen. If I was in the market for a badass street car this would be on the top of my list. Thanks for what you do for this country, and good luke with the sale!

Apologies, car is stored in Indiana right now. I can get more pics and all of that good stuff. Delivery arrangments can be discussed with car price. I'm deployed in Afghanistan right now. Any questions, offers, etc can be direct to indecisionx@gmail.com I check that much more often than here.

Price is negotiable, but don't lowball me.
