Sticking BBK Throttle body.

I have heard that BBK Throttle Bodies (LT1) have a tendency for not going back completely to idle after A WOT run. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I've seen them where they had imperfections in the inside finish keeping it from closing all the way.

Three things:

#1:

If it's a binding problem, sometimes you can loosen the blade screws (one blade at a time), close the throttle so the blade repositions on the shaft and then snug the screws again. This may take several attempts with each blade or perhaps just one but if you are patient enough, usually you'll find the sweet spot.

#2:

It is good practice to do whatever it takes to wind the throttle return spring one more round for added tension. Sometimes you can do it without taking it apart but usually you wind up grinding off the braded side of the screws, removing the blades and pulling the shaft out far enough to turn the spring one turn tighter. The other alternative is to simply use a carb style throttle return spring in addition to what is already there.

#3:

In the event 1 and 2 doesn't solve the issue, look for burr's on the blades or at the contact/drag area of the "bind". A little elbow grease and some sand paper goes a long way.
