Getting serious about getting my hood back on. LS6 intake in the house. Have used Goatbuilt (I never heard of them either) brackets on ebay heading to the house as well.

Started out mother's day with a near death experience. MIL wanted to try driving it, everything flashed before my eyes. The smile says it all though.

Took a bunch of people on joy rides, enjoyed beating on it a little bit, then went on a 70 mile round trip with 2 more joy rides in between. After grabbing 4th on the 2nd ride I started hearing a very scary sound coming from the hole in the firewall. I thought I windowed the block. It was the insurance papers blowing around in the glovebox..

It was hot as hell out but car did what it was supposed to do. Had a good day. Daughter got a shot while following me on the highway, 70 mph the whole way, right around 1900 rpms, it was nice.

Got home, started fiddling around and ended up installing the $40 steering wheel from autozone. No surprise afterwards, both horns are inoperable.

Started cooling off outside, I got ancy and decided to go back out. Drove to downtown Greensboro, got some thumbs up, some pics/videos taken, think I actually scared a couple too.

Got home and adjusted the headlights. Came around after turning on the highbeams and had to take a pic. Yes, I was humming bad to the bone while doing all this..

Thank you for the info! I don't get out that much, had never heard of them, thanks for the props!

PSA, don't purchase the $40 steering wheel. Hard chrome horn buttons flying at your face while you're doing 55 mph is quite sketchy. That whole thank god for unanswered prayers, only way it could be worse if the horns actually did work..

If you are bored and want to see what somebody built out of their subframe kit take a look here - https://www.nc4x4.com/forum/threads/...-build.170413/

Might not understand some of the parts not being in the offroad world, but the fab work he built on top of the goat stuff is amazing.

I started into it, but will need some time to go through the 54 pages. Thanks for the heads up. My daughter's boyfriend and his group all have cherokees and go rock crawling. Always joke them about the rolling junkyards.
