Not sure if those are up to date just what i found on the site.

5.30s won the first race at Caroilina and John was number one at spring race before the rain with 5.18.

As far as who is in or out dont know just know 4-5 cars aint no show.

We all said we were not going to be at Shady Side. Real races are at PTRA events Mooresville, Piedmont and I thought Rockingham but what do I know?

guess i will watch the cars in that class at sgmp and decide from there. but right now it's a no go for me. 5 teens are faster than this car was ever intended to go, that would be a 25.5 cage amongst various other changes that would need to be made and it's just not in the budget. i will stick with R/S,T/S as long as it last's . just about ready to just sell it and move on to something else. i just spent the last few months and 1000's of $'s putting this thing back together. looks like it was all for just the few races we have left with ptra. time to go to uwharrie and beat on the side X side.

Isn't 25.5 required for next season in this class?

NO Sir. 25.5 isn't Mandatory per IHRA/NHRA rules till you run 4.99 or quicker. I will have it as Highly Recommended for next year , but not Mandatory. All Cages must be 8.50 Certified as of right now.

Oh...OK...thanks JR. Thought i read that some where...I know a couple of guys that run the class have already upgraded..but I guess that was for Ultra street trim or just getting a jump on things..

There is a thread on the bullet right now talking about cage certs....Bob from NRC and various others are saying 5.35 is the magic number for a "spec" cage. Any faster and you need one. NOW, will the tracks around here enforce it? Who knows?.

Just throwing that out there...... http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=599577

^^^^ Thanks , I'll check it out. Not too sure it will get enforced around here. I have seen some pretty scary stuff going down the track recently well into the 5 's.

Cage cost $ that can be used for other stuff.

Isn't that the mindset for the most part?

I told Blake I was gonna sit out the CW too. I understand the whole sponsered thing and if you do both classes it hurts turn out for each class. Ill drive the 66 down and watch it cheaper anyway.

Make the 76 a realistic weight and the true street cars will show up. I've got no interest in bringing a knife to a gun fight as many others have stated. I think 3000lbs base weight is a realistic number to be competitive. Jason went 5.16 @3150 and hurt the motor on that pass. Their isn't anything left in it. At 3000 it might go a 5.08 at best but at least that would be in the ball park. This is a 4.90's class waiting on the right players and conditions to happen. Anyone with a gangster sbnos or new 80mm lj ke keesey can go 4.95 at will. If you plan to make a change please post it up soon so we can put our junk together in time.

I believe you can compete with a 76. I was racing at 3220 all weekend in Georgia. If I had a t6 turbo you would have seen 5.0 something. We made a fluied change in trans and car slowed down. What I'm saying is if your combo is worked out you can compete. Me, Mark & Jamie worked on my junk relentless. Please keep digging, you can do it!!!
