102 is here!! Tri 5 build

Just picked up this 56 210 this weekend.

Originally an all black V8 car, with black steel wheels, and an ivory and black interior.

Floors and trunk are SOLID. body is great other than a spot on the lower front fender on the passenger side. Will do a patch panel there.

Came with all the trim. A 79-81 Camaro front subframe has been grafted under it at some point in it's life.

Excited for this one.

37deg out, little cold out there to be pressure washing, and I can no longer feel my fingers, but worth it!!

Washed the 56 I picked up last weekend, and threw on a new set of wheels.. Looking better already

Lol. Your car looks pretty solid to me. You need to come do everything you hve done to yours so far to this one for me..

Got the trunk lid open yesterday, no surprises there, very solid!

Floors inside are solid, though where the water pooled the last 30 years whenever it rained, it's got some surface rust, but still solid. Need to clean it up and seal it soon.

I Soooooooo want to do a gasser, but I want it to be something I can drive comfortably anywhere. So that rules out gasser.

I am not sure on color. Having a really hard time with that one.. I do like satin black and put trim back on, 2 lane blacktop, or blasphemi style, but if I take the time to paint, it's the same work to make it shiny... If it's shiny, I am lost on what color or colors...

The only things for sure are that I will probably go through the 350 I have in the garage. Just a crate motor. Remove the dished pistons and throw in some flat tops, aluminum heads, a little cam, and top it off with a FITech EFI to give me good drivability. I don't have a transmission yet but I do want some sort of overdrive.

I really need to dial in the color so I can decide on things..
Well first thing I need to do is wrap up the Formula and Mustang and sell those, then I can have room to move this into the garage and get to work!

As soon as I put in the new lock cylinders, window motors that I have, and buy some tires, the Formula is going on Craigslist lol.

Get a cowboy hat and roll!! (EDIT, american graffiti... )

Finnegan did a good job on his 55, but his new set of sidepipes are off, don't know what it is but please don't do that, they're too laser straight for that car or something..

Well, even though I am not supposed to be "working on it" until the Mustang is gone, I did order new pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, etc.

Once they arrive I am hoping that I can find someone to press the pistons onto the rods in a reasonable amount of time so that I can start building up the engine.

Need to finish tearing it down and start cleaning it up
