While we were away

As most of you may have noticed, we were absent from the HPJ sponsors list for quite some time. As our company has grown much more than any of us expected, our time to manage some our sponsored forums and personel availible to do so became nearly exstinct. We have added more employees and made a few changes around the shop to help with some of the overwelming daily tasks to keep us on top of all of our obligations and customer service needs.
Since we're back, we'd like to share some of our latest projects some may have missed.

Some of you may have watched our build thread on the race truck when we built what some would call insane compound turbo setup. We tried the setup a few times and decided the internal engine parts currently availible were not up to par to keep up with the 120psi/1300whp turbo kit on the truck. We backed the setup back down to a single 75mm with a few kits of nitrous and back to the track.

The original kit we built worked well until an extreme nitrous back fire cause us to go back to the drawing board for improvement.

Along with this setup, a new built motor replaced the previous unit and we attempted to try a new transmission combo. After a few passes in the 1/4, we found high gear to be much lower than anticipated and found ourselves on the limiter nearly every pass and about .5 off the pass from our previous best passes. After a few gear changes, we ran out of gear again and opted to try a new set of rubber with a much taller sidewall.

As expected, the larger tire found the weakness in nearly every part of the trans. After about 10 outings resulting in pushing the truck back in the trailer due to broken transmissions, the decision was made to ditch the current trans. As in most cases with this truck, another prototype, one off setup is in the works for testing set for early next season. We will be using a Dodge 48RE automatic trans with external pump engaged by a custom triple disk clutch.

Some may remember the Huge white 08 F250 we built about 2 years ago. We had the pleasure of getting it back in the shop over the winter for more upgrades. The truck turned out to be much nicer than we or the owner expected.

As with the downtime on our drag truck, we began to focus on our sled pulling truck a bit more. We built this truck early last year as just somewhat of a playtoy for everyone in the shop. Its had its ups and downs and all of the problems one could expect from a new machine. We have learned a lot with this truck and thoroughly enjoyed it. we recently made a few changes including stripping the interior to shave weight in order to be able to hang more on the front during pulls. we also added a new precision turbo, spearco intercooler and all in house built intercooler piping and turbo inlet.

We look forward to helping more of you guys in the future and greatly appreciate all of our customers we have already created a relationship here. Please give us a call for any diesel needs you may have!!!
