Hotrod Power Tour in Raleigh - Thursday

The 2018 Hotrod Power Tour will be coming to Raleigh on Thursday for a one night stopover.

They will be ending the day's drive at PNC arena parking lot. The next day (Friday) the tour is headed out Highway 64 to zMAX in Concord.

All of the details are on their Web site:
http://www.hotrod.com/articles/hrpt-route/

If you haven't seen or been involved with one of these events you will be amazed at what people will drive. Check it out if you have the time.

Happy Motoring...............Jim

Any idea what time they will be at PNC? All I can find is what time they leave the stop in the AM.

Don't know what time they'll get there.

There is usually food, entertainment and vendors at the end of each day.

I would guess sometime between 5 and 7 would be prime time.

Perhaps if someone has a contact at PNC they might be able to zero in on the time.

10 bucks to park, and seems like it mostly stops at 6?

Probably going to go this afternoon to check it out. Unfortunately, I have nothing to show! Sold the GN, sold the Syclone, Dakota Vert getting an engine rebuild, and my Alfa is getting ceramic coated. I'll probably drive the S/C Marauder.

Just got back...wow what a show. There was easily 2000 vehicles there. All the major lots of PNC full. I looked for the 454SS but didn't see it. Saw several GNs, NO Syclones/Typhoons, two Marauders, NO Alfa Romeo's, and every Challenger, Mustang, Corvette in the tri-state area. Lots of cool vendors, a Dyno on site, good music and food trucks. But hotter than Hades. Talked to a few and may try to do this myself next year.

I was around there for an hour or to this afternoon. A lot of cool cars, they should have used less lots so there was less walking cause it was f'ing hot! Had a good time though walking around.

Agreed....Not sure the rhyme or reason, although I think some were 'premium' lots, some were for long haulers and some were for locals. So yeah, it ended up being scattered about and I sweated my ass off. It would take all 6 hours to hit every car in detail. We walked through the middle of the lots and looked for the unusual.

I was was quite hot out there!
We were parked in the West lot near the west entrance to the arena... We only saw about 1/4 of the vehicles. Some really interesting stuff out there for sure! I would say there was over 3000 vehicles there. We meet up with friends that are on the long haul and they said last year there were 3500+ doing the long haul plus all the locals...

Did you guys see the Holden Ute? The guy shipped his car in from Australia to do the Power Tour! We also saw a mid 70's Australian car, with Australian plates, driving around!

Here are pics of the wife's truck 454SS

Looks like I missed out by showing up late to the party. It was about 5:00 before I got there and it was a near ghost town. Vendors were packing up and everything was about cleared out. Had a few cars left but no more than 75-100. I was thinking what a poor showing it was. Guess if they do that again I'll know to get there earlier. Thanks for posting the pictures rcktpwrd.
