I work both days, 12 hour shifts, so I'll have to pass on going fir a ride. I'm sure I'll like the trailblazer SS though. Who wouldn't like a 400hp SUV that can tow 6000 pounds.

It seems to be a good car. I bought it and drove it back from VA today. The drivers headlight is out so I'll have to replace that soon. Definitely a powerful and fun SUV.

The oil issue has already been taken care of, I'd assume by description that it has the pick-up tube mod. And the catch-can tube and the device itself aren't really a worry, he's pretty well known the LSX community, as are his catch-cans (hence his name MightyMouse). I'd say his word and showing you the flaws on the truck are straight forward too, doesn't appear to be hiding anything.

I daily drove my white TB, the blue one wasn't a daily. Had tons of fun in both, even considered another but 4wd this time......but got a Tahoe instead. Not sure how the cam/stall would be for a DD though, might call him and see what he says. But despite some things others gripe about with TB's, I really enjoyed them.
Didn't the motor in one of yours disassemble itself at one point? I think I remember you posting about it.

Indeed. Oil starvation issue on 7 and 8, seized the con-rod on #8 and windowed the block.

Hopefully the PCM pickup tube does fix the oil starvation issues and I won't have that problem!

I didn't put a window in my LS2 but I did crack a stock piston landing under 15psi of boost.

Ran great on 12psi but the need for boost took over...... My wallet hates me.

FullBoost is a good little Junkie
I love my TBSS its an 06 AWD, my wife uses it as her daily. We have put just under 30k on it in the last 2.5 years, all within the last 6 months we started having hard shifting issues and now either piston slap or lifter ticking and its getting ready to trip 100K and we owe a couple more years on it. Hopefully it will hold on, but right now its 50/50 good luck with yours.
