It certainly is not ideal, lol.
That is my biggest frustration, the lack of space

Ok, so today's the day. Spent yesterday thrashing on this 4x4 37 Sedan (with a 103deg heat index) to get her ready for today's date with the NC DMV License and Theft Bureau Inspector.
If all goes well, she will be well on her way to getting titled and on the road. Wish me luck!!

Inspection went well, but I need one more thing from DMV.
Then everything else should be able to be done by email.
It will be a few more weeks before things can be submitted

STILL waiting on the License and Theft Bureau..

Been waiting on them since the beginning of August.. This is crazy.
October 19th they were supposed to be sending off to Raleigh for a new VIN# for it..

No word yet, and no replies to my emails.
Grrrr

That is the one that actually inspired my build
His is way cooler though.

Update.. Last weekend I got a letter in the mail with the new VIN #
I went ahead and got my bond, and my insurance.
Monday the DMV inspector came out and applied the VIN #s to the car, and yesterday I picked up the inspectors report, went to the DMV and got my license plates!!

We are good all legal now!

Damn. I started off with one inspector, Came to the house Aug 1st or 2nd.
Thought she was going to be great, ended up VERY slow, always out of town for training.. Told me that she sent off to Raleigh for the VIN# Oct 9th... Nothing until Dec after Christmas when she said she transferred to a different area. Went back and got a new inspector turns on the first week of Jan, turns out VIN was never applied for, and he got everything taken care of for me in under a month.. Crazy

Still finishing up a few things here and there. Got the 4 wheel drive working today. Had to make a selector lever..

Now, part of me wants to go even more mad max on it, part of me wants to start over with a full tube chassis with integrated cage, 1 ton axles, and go overboard, part of me wants to sell it to fund finishing the 66 so I can sell that and get started on the 30.. It sucks having AADD Automotive attention deficit disorder..

So...
Started the title process Aug 1st 2016. Title arrives Feb 31st.. Jeez..
I brought everything to the DMV in Jan. Never got title, so I called the DMV.
They have scanned copys of all my stuff, but never got the originals in the mail from the DMV here in town.. They had to have a supervisor sign off before putting it through using the scans.
Long process but FINALLY have a paper title in my hands!
