Yea I've seen them for $350 with no lid then the ZL1 lid is another $3/350 so thats about right but I'm wondering what all has to be done for the swap. I assume injectors, belt and tune but not sure what else.

It replaces the bad-design spring version that wears out prematurely and causes noise and seal problems.
The replacement piece is solid and prevent all those issues!

Also -
Most of the LSA kits you find will go between $575 and $800 on Ebay.
Trust me, I've been outbid on over 7 of these in the last month!
I bought mine off Ebay for $650.

The ZL1 lid is cheapest right now on Jeg's for $345.

The isolator was $19.99 off Ebay.

I removed my snout today and shipped it off to be welded/ported and pulley swapped!
I also talked to Rick tonight and plan on his custom grind cam to go in at the same time...............................

Never seen one for cheaper that 550 for the blower and snout with no lid. Stock LSA V lids go for 125-150 Separately.

Small update on the LSA project.

1. Had the water fittings for the ZL1 lid modified to accept #12 connections. I will be plumbing my heat exchanger and cooling system with the larger lines to aid in the cooling process and flow.

2. Had the LSA blower snout ported by Fasterproms in Florida. They modified the housing and also installed a 2.4 pulley along with new bearings.

3. Small parts arrived including CTS-V fuel rail, balancer, FAST 85# injectors and a new LS3 water pump.

Looking good! It's funny after re-reading this thread of how many of the same things I've already done to mine as well.

Once I get some free time from work, I'll start a thread as well.

Your car must of had a front bumper put on it at some point. Most I've seen had holes where the Pontiac emblem was on the front(the only reason I left mine on!)

I know my thread made you buy a G8! It's OK! Haha.
Yes my car was mostly debadged when I got it.
I kept the rear trunk mounted emblem (converted to black) but I dig not having the front one with holes exposed! Unfortunately my car came from Virginia and has leftover holes from the license plate on the front.

Well I got what I was gunning for today!
My goal was 7.90's in the 1/8th and 12.30's in the 1/4.

I made 2 passes.
1st pass around noon time I went up against Robbie in his white G8.
It was an awesome race. I'll post vids up soon.

My run -
Sixty foot = 1.907
1/8th mile = 8.06
1/8th mph = 89.71
1/4 mile = 12.46
1/4 mph - 112.11

On my 2nd pass, I got my BEST sixty foot, 1/8th mile, and 1/4 mile times to date!
Check out this slip!
And YES, that is still on my Sumitomo 19" street tires that I drove down there on!
I was stoked!

And here's a shot in the pits right before my 2nd pass.
That's Mrs. TTSaleen parked beside me and Mr. Hook-N-Go next to her!
Red cars errrywheeeree!

Ahh did he get the NO Lid put on? I was talking no nitrous numbers. That thing will be DEEP in the 9's on a 150-200 hit. Might even sneak close to 8's. Argh Tim....lol
