Paint Protection

I just bought my newest car ever...a 2017 Alfa QV. Thinking of doing the ceramic paint protection. Any recommendations for local shops or products to use or not use?

This is Thadd(theNanoPros) and DSM TURBOS informed me that someone on here was interested in paint correction and ceramic coating. I am an OptiCoat certified installer and have coated many $100,000 vehicles, boats, and motorcycles. This weekend I am actually headed to Burlington to polish and ceramic coat a few cars for Mike McCandless. He ownes the worlds largest Mopar collection. I have many pics and vids I can send to show some of our work. I can be contacted at 919-407-0123

Thanks for the info Thadd. Will be contacting you soon.

Any idea of your current schedule backlog?

Is the warranty on opticoat still 5 years?

I know cost is all in the prep but for a new car how much paint correction is usually needed and whats the general range of cost for a midsized car? I can get this info direct when I call but I think the forum would like to know for future reference.

I typically stay a month out on my schedule. As far as pricing the best I can do is give a window. Every car is different on the amount of work it takes to remove the haze and scratches. A midsize is going to fall between $700-$1000. That will be getting it haze and scratch free, ceramic coating all paint, glass, lights, and wheel faces. I have had trucks come to me with 200 miles that still took 12 hours to remove all the haze. I have a BMW I am working on now that was painted 10 years ago that has virtually no haze in it. How new it is doesn’t matter normally because dealerships have no clue how to clean a vehicle without ruining them honestly.

Just a follow up, Thadd did a superb job on my Quadrifoglio...it's beautiful. I don't do facebook but I believe he's posted pics of it on his Facebook thenanopros. If you're in the market for detailing, paint correction or coating I would highly recommend.
