Pontiac G8

I know a few guys on here have G8's on here. How do you like them? Thoughts, problems with them?

Great cars.
Still have my 2008. Responds well to simple bolt ons and later on you can do the other stuff like cam swap, head porting, etc to really make it turn up.
With basic bolt ons, mine ran 12.40's at Fayetteville and after cam/head mods it went 11.50's still on the stock torque convertor.
I've had Rick Crawford doing my work and been very happy with his tuning.

Only real problems are the front suspension, you will most likely need to replace the control arms as they will tend to be worn (mine were) and caused a shake in the front end.
I'd also put a oil catch can on it for the PCV system.
Oh and change the cabin air filter....LOL!

Other common issues are the door locks fail, but are easily replaced with parts from the 2011+ Caprice are the same and fit perfectly.

Great cars. I love mine, but only lasted as a daily for a year or so.

Now its a toy. Gets about 25 hwy MPG stock and rides 5 comfortably. Makes great power, looks great, and is a comfortable car for daily driving.

Cool, that's good to know! Right now I'm torn between the 04-06 gto or the G8. They both seem like good cars.
