Its a Sport Front Wheel Drive Car running mainly at Etown, MIR and Moroso thruout the year. We have been running the car for about four years now. Runs 6.00s in the eight mile at 130mph with only high 1.50s 60 foot times. We only run 24.5x8s for tires and are the fastest Sport FWD in the class. Competition is stiff in the class with effort from Honda and Chevy Cobalt. The car is owned and driven by Kevin Van Netten out of NJ. Kevin did sponsor Jim Yates in NHRA Prostock and decided to get into a car and class of his own. He already had the SRT4 as a daily driver and the class Sport FWD appealed to him. We met at Etown in 06 and teamed up to go after the class. The Red Sled is a 2.6 DCR powered 4cylinder running a 72mm s372 BorgWarner turbo and AEM EMS engine management. Has a DCR 3 speed fwd auto tranny built for 1000+hp. Weight is 2600lbs with driver. Just type in Red Sled on you tube for tons of footage.

Here is a link to the factory backed NHRA HotRod FWD car we raced for 6 years for Mopar and Dodge with driver Mike Crawford. 7.90et 1/4mile @188mph 4cylinder. 5.20s 1/8 th mile @146mph...video of the same run, one from stands and other from inside car. Notice the wind getting under chute at 190mph and lifting the rear of car!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuZNASEkoQ4 from stands 7.90 @188

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7SO968HAEw in car video 7.90 @ 188

1200+hp in a FWD 4 banger lol.

I have seen the car run several times. Yall are not far behind Felix Medina on the 24.5" he went 8's at the World Cup Finals on the 24.5" tires.

Im not even sure you remember me Darrell, this is Travis that is from the Danville, VA area. I used to have a white civic coupe and hang around Jay and Marcus years ago. It was back in the Speedneeds and Phat Rides days.....

I still have a Honda. As much as I would like to get it out of my blood and be done with it, I CANT!!!!

Had this one for about 6 years or more now. It runs decent and makes ok power. I dont have a lot of money in it, managed to go 11's on street tires with it a few years ago. Have a goal of going 10's on the same tires this time around. Just never have the time to get to the track.....

I hear you got a pretty nice shop over in the Ridgeway/Stoneville area....
