Pretty gay... you have vids of the evo beating these high horsepower cars on the street... and not even a prepped street... See how it does at the track against the same cars....... I love the evo... but at least make it a fair race.

We can do a dig race, then from a roll.

I would hope a underpowered car w/ 4wd would hook better than a high hp 2wd car on the street.

Even the fields out where BOTH car will have traction and let the actual FASTER car win. Do people really like winning by default?

I see what you're saying there, but my definition of a race has always been who got to the finish line first. At least that's how we used to do it.

I know its a street race thats great... the evo is still a slower car.. run from a roll so both cars are on equal footing... anything AWD is gonna beat a 900hp rwd car. Especially the length they ran. Just gets old seeing the same shit... big hp rwd car vs awd car.. at least pick another awd car or some shit, or race at a track.

I just read through there discussion on that forum and he said that it was the first time the guy had driven the chevelle with the blower on it. He had both nitrous and a blower but didnt use the nitrous. Now I dont know if the 900 rwhp is with both power adders or just the blower but the chevelle got into it and almost lost it and came completely out of it. So even though the evo is bad ass cut the chevelle some slack I am sure that car has plenty to be able to get up and move when it hooks

The Chevelle could be detuned to maybe 600 horsepower, allowing it to hook, and then outrun the EVO.

To the OP: is it just me, or are the times and power #'s you post for that Evo in your sig on here about 1 second, 10 mph, and 100 horsepower slower than they are on that other forum? Just curious.

the reason I posted a link to the threads instead of directly to the videos is so you all can read up on how things went down...

cliff notes:

chevelle calls out evo expecting an easy kill
evo agrees and sees a shocked look on chevelle owners face
chevelle gets educated on the ways of AWD
chevelle plans on coming to our next meet in memphis better prepared
hopefully he'll be able to stay in it next time. he was way too agressive with the throttle when he saw me getting away this time.

I think the chevelle used to run nitrous and only runs the blower now which is a 871blower + 502cid IIRC, I heard it makes 900+rwhp, this is all coming from a good friend of his which is talented on my forum. Don't quote me though, I might have heard something wrong.
