flat black cars

Anyone on here have a flatblack car? I am looking to do a coupe in flatblack and was wanting to see if anyone local has a car done this way.

wondering what paint is used and what clear was used if it was a base/clear job.

thanks for the link. thats what i want, that same kind of flat black or matte black, whatever.

if he doesnt chime in, i will PM him in a day or two to see what he used.

there was also a mustang coupe that was for sale that was matte or flat black. It was a nmra or some big type of drag car and i cant find it any more. His name may have been something johnson.

Go to John Deere and ask for Blitz Black. its $25 a gallon. Get the hardener from your local paint shop. This is the shit my dads friends do their rat rods with. the shit is awesome and sprays nice.

we use SEM hot rod satin black. its a single stage and sprays really easy. clear coats with a flateneing agent will tend to get chalky...best bet is to stick with s single stage satin or flat

I have 2 flat black cars and both are Hot Hues, Hot Rod Black. The 25$ a gallon stuff will turn very chalky like sraypaint cans in alot of sunlight and weather.

i always use the Rubber Seal brand hot rod black at the body shop. it looks awsome and is also a single stage. its a urethane so its good to go for a long time if kept up. its an all out paint job treated just like a base clear job

the Blitz black we use doesnt turn chalky. and the cars have seen plenty of sun and weather...
