Just a FYI, Wal-Mart has there 5 quart jugs priced at $22 bucks now. I use 10w-30 and they use to sell it for $26 which was still the best price and now its a steal st $22 for 5 quarts.

FWIW, O'Reilly (sp?) has a deal that ends tomorrow where you can get 5qts of Royal Purple & a K&N oil filter for $39.99. Considering K&N oil filters go for about $13 or so bucks, that's a pretty damn good deal for Royal Purple stuff. I bought 15qts and got 3 oil filters this past Saturday.

Royal Purple has its own oil filter now too and they've been offering that deal at pep boys, 5 qts and a filter for $40. If M1 was still a synthetic oil I would use it but its not.

check blackstone labs reports M1 0w-40 ranks right up there close to Amsoil and German Castrol. The 5w-30 and other weights aren't so hot though.

didn't know that about the 0-40. I just remember M1 suing Castrol because it marketed a blend as fully synthetic. Then when they lost the case they changed their formulas to blends to cut costs. That always left a bad taste in my mouth with M1.

So, Mobile 1 is a blend now? That explains it ...

There used to be Mobile 1 synthetic, and also a Mobile blend - I usually got the blend for most of my vehicles, and then lately I couldn't find it anymore. So now, they've just got 1, and it's a blend, and they still call it Mobile 1. Hmm ... that's clever (and deceptive) of them, right there!

Sweet. Mobile One is what the Z06 requires.

Yeah, Yeah, but if you'd been using Royal Purp you would've never had to break it down and it would have been making 182.37 more rwhp at every boost level, lol...

I agree though, nothing wrong w/ Mobile1. It's usually what I go w/ in everything but the Z, which gets the Purp that RPM has for cheaper than any department store;)

Both the Miata and the S10 get M1 5w30. The s10 has a new long block, so it's entire life will be running on M1. We'll see how well it does for hopefully many more hundreds of thousands of miles.
