I have wanted one for a while and I'm going to sell my 32" hdtv soon for a projector since i have a big room. Not sure what to look at but I'm going to be buying from craigslist or similar. So what should I look at?

I have a great receiver I can plug everything into I'll just need to get a bunch of s video's to run across the room

I'll just make my own screen or get a 120" pull down that will just stay down

Read read read read. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/

I would not make it my primary TV though. I would save it for sporting events and movies.... the bulbs alone can cost 300-600 to replace. Something I am dealing with at work right now is the breakdown of something in the LCD panels in the projectors causing brown and yellow patches in the picture. It is not the bulbs. If you see brown and yellow coffee stains in the picture do not let them tell you it is the bulb.

I also have a projector which is needing a bulb replacement. 300.00 Cheapest I found. Anyone know of a cheap spot to get replacement lamps?
I am needing a BL-FP200D.

Pony, If it is not the lamp, what is the issue?

I can't find the thread I had read about my particular problem. It was something about the LCD's having a degradable ingredient in them and over time it of course breaks down. I will look through my notes at work on Monday to see what I can find about it.

Thats the same with the SXRD projection TV's. Bulbs will OWN you. Also ours turned green and it turned out to be the optical block. thank god for warranty
