:werd: Vince Young is a bad bad man. They need to start handing out the Heisman after the bowls are over. Now I don't have to hear about how great and unbeatable USC is. Reggie/Matt/Pete, blah blah blah...

What a game! It was more like watching an NFL matchup than a college game, both teams were so fast and their execution was so crisp and polished. No matter who won, I don't think there's another team in college football that could beat either of them this year. I was pulling for USC just because I dislike Mack Brown, but I found myself wanting to see V. Young win the game there at the end.
Anyway, Vince Young was definitely a man among boys out there, he singlehandedly won that game. You could see in his face when he walked up to the line for that 4th down play, there was no doubt in his mind what he was going to do.

Reggie Bush still deserved the Heisman...
I have no horse in this game, and Texas was awesome... But, Carroll made one of the worst coaching decesions in National Championship game history...
No way do you go for it on 4th and 2 with 2 minutes left at your opponents 43 yard line and up by 5. You put them inside the 15 and make them go 85 yards... The worst coaching decision I have ever seen on a game that matters...

I have never seen a more mature and calm College Quarterback ever.He had so much confidence everytime he lined up behind the center.

^^ i have to disagree...
you have won 30 something straight games and already have 2 national championships back to back...
You play like champions and man-up and go for it.
It was a good call, in my opinion.
Texas hadn't really stopped them all night and if they got those 2 yards, 3-peat.

Just cause you won 34 games in a row doesn't mean you play stupid... That was a call of arrogance by Pete Carroll and not of intelligence... Making them go 90 yards with less than 2:00 minutes takes away UT's #1 threat, Vince Youngs legs...

Face it, if they had made it on 4th down he would have been a "genius", but since they didn't make it he was a dumbass.

it's like corso and company said, did you see how easily vince young went down the field? An extra 20-30 yards wouldn't have stopped him...
PLUS, texas hadn't stopped USC yet.... you get those 2 yards, you win the game...
A champion goes for it.
Call of arrogance? yep, i agree. If you are the big bad team everyone thinks you are, you man up and go for it. Make them stop you. and they did.
you either agree with it or don't. there's no right answer.

fuck texas.
who asked you, douche? people who say that are usually from some gay ass place like montana or oregon...
anyway, the call was questionable, tough to say what he should have done in that situation. all in all, texas played very well, i would have liked to see them hang on to the ball a little better and put down the extra point and field goal, but its a win, and the sweetest one in a long time.
im surprised no one has mentioned vince youngs latteral for the touchdown while his knee was down.

^yeah they missed that one..
however USC better not blame their loss on it..b/c they had numerous chances to put the game away at the end and Young PWNT them

I really don't think so, 90 yards takes away a lot of the playbook with that little time left and takes away Vince's legs... I guess we just have a difference of opinion...

Apparently their punter isn't very good, probably because he hardly ever gets on the field :). I guess Pete doubted his punters ability to pin them back and didn't want to give them the opportunity for a return, and they probably did have better chances at making the 4th and 2 than getting a really good punt.

Go texas... Punting the ball would have been a bad idea considering texas had 2 or 3 time outs. Neither team had much of a defense. All good things must come to a end. Bye Bye USC HELLO TEXAS......:watch:
