I got busted...again.

Well, I just got the Mustang on the road finally. I hooked the compucar kit up today and jetted it to a buck-25 and took it out looking for some victims. Found one in pretty much no time. A 90's Fox Body GT. Weld drag lites, dumps, and a nice lumpy idle. I waited at the light to see what he'd do...he took it easy till half way thru 2nd and jumped on it. I did the same...walked out about a car on him and shut down...too many people around (I later found out I was right). We get to the end of the street and take a right. I see my roommate at a gas station talking to a bunch of guys. He points at me, I rev and purged as I'm trailing the guy. He goes right, I follow and go wide. He took the hit and jumped about a half a carlength out. I punch, spray, and put about 8 BUS lengths on the dude before 4th gear. No sooner do I look up and see Jacksonville PD on my ass. The ran my stuff and came back. He saw I just had a racing ticket and decided to go very VERY easy on me. Get this..."exceeding the posted speed limit of 35mph." No radar...nothing. Thats it. He told me "You were upfront and honest and that goes along way with me. I appreciate your full cooperation. Slow down and keep it on the track. You have a nice car...a VERY nice car. I'd hate to see it get taken away." So If anyone want to go get some lottery tickets, let me know b/c I am the LUCKIEST MAN ALIVE TONIGHT!!!

Yes I know I'm stupid for racing on the street in the first place. It was a major bonehead move on my part. I can't say I've learned my lesson but I'll be a hell of alot more cautious from now on.

Calm down the street racing, atleast take it somewhere where everyone isnt.:) I never do anything but drive normally around the local cruise spot here, i'd end up like what just happened to you. Being as poor as i am right now, it'd sink me very deep.

Nosfedstang...Yeah man...the car is running great. I gotta pull some timing out of it though b/c when I gets fully warmed up, it likes to ping a little. I had to add 2lbs of fuel pressure and pull 8 degrees of timing with the MSD Box to keep from pinging on a 125 shot. A little excessive I'd say. I want to get it on the dyno again to make sure its safe with the spray. I'd like to step it up to the 175 jets. We'll see.

My tickets were 95 in a 55, Careless and reckless, and bald tires. Its messed up because my nittos were just starting to hook, even though they would hydroplain.

tickets suck but I have been pulled over numerous times and I actually got a ticket for speeding when I was racing. THe cop was real nice and just guessed my speed since he knew we were goin way faster than his guess.

Long time ago, I got caught running 103mph. in a 55mph. zone. So among the locals, I had the record speeding ticket. Then, gearjammer comes along and breaks my record with a
108 or 109 in a 55 zone. We both lost our license, needless to say.
I'll see if I can get him to come on here and tell you guys the street racing story.

Exceeding the posted speed will affect your insurance like a 9 over ticket if you already have a ticket on your record... Your insurance will go up... that sucks too.

Well, when I was working 3rd shift I was on my way to work one night and some how got beside a 3rd gen Z28 Camaro. You know how it starts....I get beside him and he down shifts and jabs the throttle several times...so I down shift and slow down beside him and get ready. Now, there a VA state trooper directly behind us the whole time but when I'm getting ready to race I zone out everything and didn't notice him. The first run was from around a 30 roll and I easily outrun the guy so I let out of it and he pulls beside me again and starts reving like he wants some more. The second run is from like a forty roll and the same thing happens but as soon as I let out of it, the blue lights start flashing and I'm like ooooh shit. Well, he pulls us both over and was raising hell at us but really reams the Camaro driver ( the trooper is a die hard Chevy guy ). The only thing that saved me was that it was like 5 mins to 12:00 and he was due to end his shift at 12:00 and didn't want the hastle of doing all the paper work. We both got a speeding ticket for 76 in a 55 and the Camaro driver got really reamed for being outrun by a Ford.
