Well, I think I'm going to get my first tattoo very soon. A few of my buddies from high school go to Bill Claydon's Tattoo World on Yadkin. That's probably where I'll go, but I know some of my fellow junkies have a few tats. Where should I go? Come on guys, educate me.
Thanks,
Tucker
Edit: What kind of $$$ am I looking at for 1 color, & about 3"X3".

Go to Claydon's! I would'nt even consider going anywhere else in the 'Nam. He has been doing ink in town longer than anyone else. You might pay a bit more but in the end you'll be happier! As far as price it is hard to say.

Thanks man. That's what I figured about the price. I'm sure it's hard to tell not knowing the details & shit.

:withstupi Best in 'Nam without a doubt. Don't skimp on something permanent. Last time I had work done it was $100 an hour for custom work. Something as small as your talking should less than an hour depending on the detail, but no more than two.

i know you said nam....but if u dont mind driving 45 min to wilmington on market st. theres a shop called hard wire, they have done all my work and its great, the thing is the artist that does my tats has none himself not one spec of ink on his body or a single piercing....im not sure about the fayetteville area, i got one piercing done in nam but no ink, good luck!

3X3, one color........shouldn't be anymore than a buck to a buck twenty five and that would be a stretch unless you could later sell it to a museum. I have a full color 3X4 Taz that was only $125 from Savage and Head in Raleigh. The other is just fucking huge....single color, and was $275 and took 3 hours to have done by Skin Graphics in Goldsboro.

My brother got a Betty Paige tattoed on his forearm from Bill Clayton. If you ever saw the Betty Paige tattoo...you would probably want to hump his arm. :leghump:
This was probably 13 years ago when he was stationed in Fort Bragg.
Bill himself is good no doubt and has been around many years.

Claydons bro. I've got 2 from them and 2 from others and the others look like crap compared to theirs. Not bad on the prices either for what you get.

Thanks guys. I went by there last night to see how much it would be. They quoted me $120, which isn't bad. It's not real detailed, and shouldn't take long to do. I'll more than likely be getting it done Saturday April 9. If anybody wants to come out & get a little work done, or just hang out while I'm there let me know. I'll post what time I'll be there as it gets closer to the date.
